Welcome to the new KRDO.com!

The new KRDO.com was designed with you in mind, and that means an emphasis on improving your experience on the small screen.

Perhaps most exciting, the new KRDO.com is responsive. In the past, we had a website for your computer and a website for your phone. Users of the mobile version of the site often missed out on content that was available only on the desktop version. With our new responsive website, you don’t miss a thing regardless of the device you’re using.

Whether you are viewing the new KRDO.com on your computer, a tablet or a smart phone, you’re seeing the same site with the same content. It’s “smart” enough to detect the size of your screen and adjust accordingly. We feel those of you who use KRDO.com on your phones and tablets will enjoy a *much* improved and enhanced experience with this change.

Sticking with the mobile theme, it’s not just the website that received a refresh. The newest version of the KRDO.com mobile app has been released. It features a complete overhaul with a clean, modern look and more news and information than was available on the prior version. You will need to download the latest version of our app to take advantage of the improvements.

Besides focusing on the mobile experience, we went into this website redesign project with the goals of delivering to our users a browsing experience that is clean, modern and visually rich.

The simple blue and white design is easy on the eyes and helps you to focus your attention where it matters: on the stories, videos and photos that you’re looking for. We’ve also streamlined and simplified the navigation with the goal of making it easier for you to find your favorite pages on the site.

You may also notice much larger images and video on the new KRDO.com. The ability to tell stories with compelling images and sound has been the power of television for decades. Now, more than ever before, we are bringing you that experience not just on your TV screen, but wherever and however you chose to watch KRDO NewsChannel 13.

Obviously, change can be hard. Some of you will miss the old layout, or specific things that were on the old page and now are gone. You may well find that some of those things have just moved somewhere else.

We can take a little constructive criticism, and we want your suggestions on how to make the site even better. It’s a work a progress. Share your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of this article.
