Road work closes road in Black Forest

Burgess Road is closed in Black Forest as El Paso County Public Works crews begin replacing a culvert. The 24-inch culvert rusted away, and crews will be replacing it with a 30-inch concrete culvert . Multiple critical culverts and drainage pipes in Black Forest are more than 10 years old, according to local officials. The road will be closed from Vollmer Road to Shipman Lane, and is expected to reopen in several days depending on the weather.
