President of CSU-Pueblo to retire in 2017

The president of Colorado State University-Pueblo has announced plans to retire next year. The Pueblo Chieftain reports that President Lesley Di Mare made the announcement Monday during a “State of the University Address” at the Belmont campus. The 64-year-old cited family reasons in her decision to step down, saying her mother and brother are facing health problems. Di Mare, who became president in December 2011, has agreed to continue serving in the position until June 30. The Colorado State University System Board of Governors is expected to begin a national search for the university’s next president this week.
