EPSO: Suspect at large is considered dangerous

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the suspect who led deputies on a pursuit on Monday morning.

It all started when an deputy noticed a white Mitsubishi Montero speeding through a red light at around 10:35 a.m. The deputy tried to pull the Mitsubishi over but couldn’t get it to stop. The deputy eventually lost the suspect.

A short time later, the Mitsubishi crashed into a rock at Arbor Point Apartments. The suspect ditched the car and was last seen in the Delta Hancock area.

He is described as being a black or Hispanic male, wearing jeans, a grey sweatshirt and red Converse sneakers.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Colorado Springs Police Department, the Colorado Springs Police Department K-9 Unit and the Colorado State Patrol to locate the man.

He is considered to be dangerous by officials. If anyone sees him, they should call 911 immediately .
