Argument over TV ends in COS father’s arrest

A man was arrested for assault on Sunday after his 15-year-old son was found with lacerations to his head.

Colorado Springs police responded to the 4800 block of Mallow Road at around 10:49 a.m. in regards to a domestic disturbance.

Initial reports state an argument over the use of the TV escalated to the 15-year-old arming himself with a bat. The father took the bat from the teen, at which point the teen got a second bat. The father took the second bat and use it to hit the boy over the head.

The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The father was arrested for assault. His name was not released by police.
