Local elementary students honor 9/11 anniversary

Students at Odyssey Elementary School had a great day celebrating some of our own local heroes.

Kids at Odyssey Elementary wanted to show appreciation in honor of the anniversary of 9/11.

Several local heroes like firefighters, policemen and military members showed up at the school to be thanked and honored by the students.

One of our local heroes from the Air Force Academy says this was they very time he could attend Hero Day.

Odyssey students thanked the southern Colorado heroes with special letters and signs.
