CSPD investigating string of robberies from Friday night

Within a few hours on Friday night, four burglaries had taken place around the city of Colorado Springs.

The first robbery took place at just after 5 p.m. at a local bank located in the 2800 block of Briargate Boulevard. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, a female was seen robbing the bank. She left in a grey colored car.

At around 9 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the La Hacienda located in the 1700 block of Monterey Road. Witnesses told police that two suspects had entered the restaurant and demanded money.

The last two robberies happened at around 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. One took place in the 100 block of E. Cheyenne Road and the second one was in the 400 block of E. Cheyenne Mountain. Investigators believe that two suspects entered both businesses and took an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt in any of the robberies.

Police haven’t made any arrests and the only robberies that appear to be connected are the final two, closer to 10 p.m.
