Officials investigating crash at Fort Carson training site

A person was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle crash at a Fort Carson training area.

Fort Carson Emergency Services responded to the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site at around 6:15 a.m.

The driver, who is not affiliated with Fort Carson, was taken to the Trinidad Hospital. Details have not been released on the severity of the injuries.

Training was not going on at the time of the crash.

Fort Carson military police are working with the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation.
