Arrest made in Falcon man’s death

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the murder of a 56-year-old Falcon man.

Timothy Hagins, who was already booked into the CJC prior to the death investigation, was found to be the man responsible for the murder of David Stechman.

Stechman was found by his wife covered in blood and lying on the floor of his home in the 8200 block of Fort Smith Road in Falcon on Thursday.

Hagins was previously arrested for Attempted Second Degree Murder, Fist Degree Burglary, Third Degree Assault and Criminal Mischief. When investigators tied him to the murder of Stechman, Hagins was served a warrant for First Degree Murder and First Degree Burglary.
