A year ago, Bulldogs linebacker Lane Bourdon watched his junior season come to an abrupt end, “I was pretty depressed for awhile. It really took a toll on me.” In week four Bourdon tore the ACL and PCL in his knee and the entire team felt his pain, “It was really bad. Watching one of your brothers go down like that and not finish the season, it’s pretty tragic. Especially being one of the biggest players on defense.” says senior quarterback Carlos Vigil.

A big player on the field and a bigger influence off of it, “We don’t have a kid that works harder than Lane or is more dedicated to our program and I think that added to his devastation. He leaves 2 a days and goes to work a job until 30 minutes before our 2nd practice that’s just the kind of kid he is.” says head coach Mike Palumbo. Through rehab was never far away, “Being here at practice, and being involved, and going to every game.” says Bourdon.
