Police say four teens responsible for spree of car thefts, break-ins, car crashes
Colorado Springs Police arrested four juveniles after a month long investigation into a series of crime thefts, break-ins and joyrides.
The minors were arrested on charges of Burglary of Motor Vehicles and Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft. Some of the teens arrested are runaways while others had warrants out for their arrests.
At the end of July, CSPD’s investigation provided evidence showing that the teens were involved in several car thefts and vehicle break-ins. Sometimes they would steal cars, take them for a joyride, and crash them.
Most of their crimes occurred in the Banning Lewis Ranch Neighborhood.
Firearms have also been discovered since their arrest and is tied to some of their crimes.
Three vehicles they had stolen have been recovered.
This is an ongoing investigation. If you have any additional information on these crimes, contact CSPD at 444-3140.
