CSPD: Dogs bit HSPPR officer multiple times around his body

An Animal Law Enforcement (ALE) officer with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) was attacked by two dogs on Friday afternoon.

At around 1:07 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department got an Urgent Assist request from the Humane Society stating that one of their officers was being attacked.

Investigators determined that while the officer was on a service call, Tammy Davis, owner of a residence at 900 S. Arcadia Street, invited the ALE officer into her backyard when her two dogs got out of the house and attacked him. The officer reportedly suffered multiple dog bite wounds all over his body. He was able to escape and call for help.

Davis was cited for Possession of a Dangerous Animal and the dogs were taken by the HSPPR.
