Alleged Denver kidnapper arrested in Colorado Springs

One man is in custody on charges of kidnapping and burglary thanks to the work of the southern Colorado violent gang safe streets task force.

Law enforcement says 22-year-old Daniel Rocha allegedly broke into his estranged ex-wife’s house in Denver where he assaulted his ex-wife and took their child.

Rocha then fled to Colorado Springs where we was arrested Wednesday night without incident.

The child has since been returned home safely.

The Southern Colorado Violent Gang Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement, including members of the FBI, Colorado Springs Police Department and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
