Pueblo Pride Festival expresses message “love must prevail”

for 15 years the l-g-b-t-q community has been gathering together for the pueblo pride festival. this year there’s a deeper meaning to the fest. people from all over the community gathered this morning in pueblo for the pride parade and the festival afterward. the theme of this years festival is love must prevail. the parade participants wore paper chains around their necks to make a link between everyone in the community… but to establish the diversity as well. the vice president of the southern colorado equality alliance says althoug there has been a lot of progress in the l-g-b-t-q community… there is still room to improve. “the incident at pulse nightclub in orlando has rattled our community to be able to come together and celebrate each other and what we’ve accomplished where we are today is really important,” county commissioner buffie mcfadyen and councilman ed brown declared today pueblo l-g-b-t-q pride day as part of the celebration. now to
