Pueblo City Council to decide on more ballot measures Monday

Pueblo City Council will decide Monday if three measures will appear on the November ballot.

The first would direct more money from hospitals to education and health care programs, but only if those hospitals earn more than $25 million a year.

The next would forbid hospitals from billing patients and insurance companies any services that are more expensive than what’s listed as “allowable charges” in Medicare parts A and B.

The final measure would let voters decide one a one quarter-cent sales tax for the next 10 years, which would go to safety initiatives in the city.

These will all be decided on at Monday’s meeting which starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
