Crashes close busy roads in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs police had to close two busy roads after separate crashes early Sunday morning.
The first accident was a motorcyclist crash at Academy and Galley.
The driver reportedly lost control and crashed around 11 p.m. Saturday night. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. No drugs or alcohol are suspected, police said.
Northbound Academy was closed for 40 minutes.
The second crash happened near Fountain Blvd and Academy Loop East around 2 a.m.
Two cars were involved, one van jumped a curb and hit a tree.
Two people were taken to the hospital with non-serious injuries, police said. One person was arrested under the suspension of DUI.
The intersection was closed while police investigated the accident.
Both roads have since reopened.
