Floor, roof collapses during structure fire in Pueblo

Several crews responded to a structure fire in Pueblo on a Friday night.

The Pueblo Fire Department got a call at around 9:10 p.m. of an abandoned building on fire in the 400 block of Fountain.

According to the Fire Department, five engine companies were called to help extinguish the fire. While they were trying to put it out, the roof and floor collapsed.

Crews had the fire extinguished just before midnight.

No one was injured and officials do not believe anyone was inside the building at the time of the fire. They have been getting reports of people hanging around the building in the last couple of months.

Investigators were at the building on Saturday morning to determine the cause of the fire.

Within the last five years, the fire department has responded to two fires at this building.
