Police: DUI lead to power outage

Colorado Springs police say Wednesday’s power outage in Colorado Springs was caused by someone driving under the influence.

According to police, 29-year-old Brandon Nabar lost control of his truck and hit an electrical transformer near Voyager and Longs Peak Trail.

He was cited for careless and driving while under the influence of alcohol

At the time of the crash, 1,390 people were without power.
