More businesses mean less vacancy in downtown COS

for businesses in downtown colorado springs are down this year.. according to the downtown partnership, only two-point- eight percent of the retail space downtown is unoccupied. that’s one of the best numbers the city has seen in years. “really we’ve been seeing a lot of historic vacancies filling up, which is a vacancy we’ve had for 3 or more years… there have been some great new additions like hooked on books which opened on bijou street and we’ve got a spin studio called cycology on bijou street as well” the partnership credits a strong economy with helping the revitalization.. and they see this as a long term trend. they say the biggest problem on the horizon.. is a lack of space for businesses owners who want to relocate downtown.
