Incoming freshmen experience Pueblo through “Discover Downtown”

Some new college freshmen got a big welcome to the Steel City on Wednesday night.

CSU Pueblo students and their parents got a chance to “Discover Downtown.”

The college teamed up with several community groups to show off the home of the heroes as well as the beautiful historic Arkansas Riverwalk.

For incoming freshmen and their families, it was a great opportunity to get acquainted with the city.

“This is our first time in Pueblo, Colo. So, to be able to leave campus and see what the city is all about, it’s a pretty great idea,” said Jermaine Stevenson.

Southern Colorado cuisine was also featured at the event. Some of Pueblo’s tastiest restaurants and food trucks provided dinner.
