Clinton’s national campaign manager comes to Colorado

Polls show Hillary Clinton pulling comfortably ahead of Donald Trump in Colorado.

But that’s not stopping her team’s leader from coming to the swing state to fire up supporters and open the campaign’s 16th and 17th field office here.

KRDO NewsChannel 13 political reporter Eric Fink went one-on-one with Clinton’s national campaign manager, Robby Mook Monday night in Denver.

Mook, 36, leads the campaign operation from its headquarters in Brookyln, NY. He heads a team that includes thousands of staffers, organizers and volunteers across the nation.

The latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll released Friday shows Clinton ahead of Trump in the Centennial State by 14 points.

Mook knows not to get overconfident.

“We would not be deploying the kind of ground operation here if we thought it was in the bag,” Mook said. “Anyone who thinks Hillary Clinton would Waltz into winning Colorado is mistaken. This election is going to be closer than people think.”

Clinton’s team in Colorado includes more than 100 staffers on the ground.
