Man gets 35 years for fatal shooting at Denver strip club

A man who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a shooting outside a Denver strip club has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.

The Denver Post reports 32-year-old Stephen Futrell was sentenced Friday for the Sept. 13 death of 29-year-old Jeremy Garcia. Futrell struck a plea deal with prosecutors, who dropped a first-degree murder charge and a weapons charge.

Investigators say Futrell shot Garcia multiple times after the two got into an altercation inside PT’s Showclub.
