rock shatters window on i25

we’re learning more about what happened this morning on i-25 near the interquest exit. a woman says she was driving down the interstate when her driver-side window was shot out. turns out… the el paso county sheriffs office believes a rock caused the window to shatter. the woman says she was driving in the northbound lanes when her window broke. deputies responded to the scene and say there was a lot of damage. they found a small hole in the window that looked similar to a bullet hole… but believe a passing car kicked up a rock that flew through the window. still… the woman said it sounded like someone shot at the car. ” we were just talking and all of a sudden we heard like a boom! like a shotgun. and then my whole window was shattered.” the sheriffs office still took down a suspicious incident report but do not believe there is any threat to the community or other drivers. they did not make any arrests.
