Woman cashing stolen checks in Pueblo

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who recently cashed a stolen check at a local home improvement store.

On July 10, 2016, a man reported to Sheriff’s deputies his truck was stolen and inside the vehicle were his wallet and a checkbook. Then on July 20, 2016, the victim made a separate report after he learned one of the stolen checks recently was used to purchase items at the North Side Lowe’s, 1225 U.S. Highway 50 West.

Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help in identifying the suspect. She is described as a white, heavyset female. She was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and grey pants.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or about the incident is asked to call the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 583-6250 or Crime Stopper at 542-STOP (542-7867).
