Springs woman’s shooting death ruled homicide
New information has been released about a woman who was shot to death in Colorado Springs last week.
The shooting happened at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Chapman Drive, near the Pine Creek Village Apartments, on the southeast side.
The victim has been identified as Sheree Barker, 24. Baker was taken to the hospital where she died.
Baker’s death has been ruled a homicide.
Colorado Springs Police say there have been 15 homicides in the city this year. There had been 12 homicides in the city at this time last year.
