Police: Gun fired, disturbance caused in Springs neighborhood
The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested two individuals and is searching for one more after the three caused havoc in a Colorado Springs neighborhood on Monday morning.
Sand Creek officers responded to a shots fired call in the 4400 block of Harwood Road at around 4:50 a.m.
One of the residents in the neighborhood was investigating his neighbor’s car alarm when he saw three men running down the street. One of the suspects fired a shot at the resident and missed.
One of the other suspects, who was wearing a black hoodie and camouflage pants, reportedly stole a gun from another resident’s car and then broke into that resident’s home. The victim woke up and saw the suspect and ran him out of the house.
Officers searched the area and found the three suspects nearby. The one in the black hoodie got away, but the other two were arrested and charged.
Police did not release any information on the suspects arrested or the third suspect still on the loose. The investigation is still ongoing. If you have any information on this incident, contact CSPD at 385-2125.
