People celebrate Colorado Day by exploring the outdoors
Monday marked 140 years since Colorado was officially recognized as a state and many were out celebrating.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife participated by offering free admission to all 42 state parks. This allowed people to get outside and experience the Centennial State’s natural beauty.
KRDO NewsChannel 13 spoke with a few people who were taking advantage of a free day at Lake Pueblo State Park.
“We love Colorado,” said one park attendee.
“It’s beautiful. We love it. Every time we come down to visit my sister. We love it,” said another.
