Police investigating overnight shooting, several homes damaged
Colorado Springs police are investigating an overnight shooting that left several homes with damage Sunday morning.
Officers said they received a report of shots fired shortly before 1 a.m.
That call took police to the 3300 block of Tailspin Drive.
That is on the city’s south east side of town near the Soaring Eagles neighborhood.
When officers arrived they found several houses with damage from bullet holes.
About 30 minutes later one person did show up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police have confirmed it was related to this shooting, but have not released any more details.
He is currently in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
