Bear destroys inside of Colorado family’s car

One Evergreen family learned the hard way why you need to lock your car doors if you live in bear country.

The family woke up this morning to find their car rocking and shaking with the windows fogged up because a bear had gotten inside.

Shaylee Meurer says a brave neighbor opened the door so the bear could get away.

The bear eventually ran off, but the damage was done.

Meurer says many people had warned them to lock their car doors, and that’s something they are going to do from now on.

Evergreen is located about 30 miles west of Denver.
