A body pulled from the Colorado River in Grand County is that of an Avon teenager who was reported missing last week, authorities have confirmed.

The sheriff’s office identified the teen Tuesday as Patrick Maccormick Kelsall, who went missing while camping near Gore Canyon during a kayaking trip with a friend.

The Denver Post reported (http://goo.gl/Xh7RfX )that the friend went to collect firewood at around midnight June 20, and Kelsall was gone when he returned. The 19-year-old was reported missing on June 21, and his body was found Saturday about 25 feet below the water’s surface.
