RNC chairman: “Hillary Clinton is an illegitimate nominee of the Democratic Party”

In Philadelphia, the opening night of the Democratic National Convention Monday was overshadowed by leaked emails showing favoritism for Hillary Clinton in the primaries and the upcoming resignation of Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus called Clinton a cheater.

“Hillary Clinton won by cheating and committing fraud with the DNC and she’s not a legitimate nominee of the Democratic Party,” Priebus said. “They were rigging the system against Bernie Sanders. They were rigging the debate schedule to force him not to have any prime-time positioning before the Iowa and New Hampshire primary contests.”

Priebus believes this is just the beginning of the corruption coming to light.

“I guarantee you the coordination you’re seeing has just started, they’ll be more emails showing more coordination,” Priebus said.

Pikes Peak Dems Executive Director Liz Hershberger calls Priebus’ claim bogus.

“She’s received the votes to be our nominee you can’t lie with those results,” Hershberger said.

Hershberger is confident with Republican nominee Donald Trump on the other side, Democrats will come together around Clinton.

“We’re off to a rough start, but we’ll be fine, we’ll be fine,” she said.

The Democrats turn to President Bill Clinton Tuesday night.

President Obama addresses the convention on Wednesday.
