Drive Smart Colo. hopes new toy will further promote seatbelt safety

Drive Smart Colorado is trying to drive home the importance of wearing your seatbelt.

Representatives from the organization joined forces with State Farm on Monday at the Gold Hill Subdivision to show off their newest tool, thanks to $25,000 in grant money.

“It’s an extremely helpful tool. Interactive hands on tool simulates a seven mile-an-hour crash,” said Maile Gray, executive director of Drive Smart.

Drive Smart Colorado currently works in 10 Colorado counties, educating the public on a variety of traffic safety issues.
