Fire crews stop progression of Wilson Fire near Lake George

Fire crews were able to quickly stop the progression of a two-acre fire that broke out in Park County on Sunday.

The U.S. Forest Service first announced information of the Wilson Fire at around just after 3:20 p.m. on July 24, stating that it was located three miles south of Lake George.

As of 3:46 p.m. crews had stopped the fire from growing and plant to “continue to construct and improve the fireline and mop-up hot spots,” according to the Forest Service.
