Man arrested after leaping from window

A Pueblo man is in custody after leaping from a third-story window, police say.

Adrian Roybal, 36, was identified as the gunman who opened fire during an incident that happened around 3:30 p.m. on July 16.

Investigators say the shooting happened in the 1700 block of Constitution Road. Witnesses said there was a disturbance between two groups in the parking lot of the Casa Del Sol apartments, which led to a shooting.

One person was taken to the emergency room with a gunshot wound in the back.

On July 19, detectives were talking with a woman in the Casa Del Sol apartments, when a Roybal jumped from the third-floor window. He fractured both ankles upon landing.

Roybal was arrested on two outstanding warrants and was taken to the hospital.

He is facing charges for first-degree assault.
