Arrest made in Platte Avenue stabbing

The Colorado Springs Police Department says an arrest has been made in a stabbing that happened in the 800 block of E. Platte Avenue.

The stabbing happened in the parking lot of a strip mall at the intersection of E. Platte Avenue and N. Institute Street.

The victim, an unidentified 31-year-old man, remains in critical condition.

The suspect, Earnest Mazyck Jr., 23, faces a first degree assault charge.
