Roommates escape massive house fire in Colorado Springs

Several fire departments responded to a house fire on Wednesday morning.

The Falcon Fire Department got the call around 9:20 a.m. The front of the two-story home was completely engulfed. Firefighters believe it started in the garage. Cars that were parked there also caught on fire.

Six people live in the house, but only four were home at the time of the fire.

Colorado Springs Fire Department, Peterson Air Force Fire Department and the Cimmaron Hills Fire Department all responded to assist with the house fire. This included 20 firefighters and five trucks.

As of 10 a.m., firefighters had extinguished the fire.

No one was inured. The home was deemed unlivable by officials.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
