Man with cross tattoo under his eye robs Manitou Springs hotel

A man is wanted for the armed robbery of the Comfort Inn off Manitou Avenue Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the hotel at around 6 a.m. The clerk told officers that a man entered the business, pulled a gun on him and demanded money. After taking an unknown amount of cash, the suspect put on a gray, long-sleeved button down shirt with a Comfort Inn logo on it and left the business.

The suspect is described as being Hispanic in his 20s or 30s. He’s between 6’02” to 6’03” tall with a thin build. He reportedly has a cross tattoo beneath one of his eyes and either praying hands or wings beneath his left ear.

Before putting on the Comfort Inn shirt, he was wearing a black baseball cap with charcoal lettering, a black bandanna around his neck, a white t-shirt with a black long sleeve shirt.
