City of Pueblo searching for illegal dumping solution

Old controversial discussions about trash services in Pueblo are picking up again.

After a request by city council, the Public Works director presented details about how other cities handle their residential trash services.

The idea going forward is to somehow address the issue of illegal dumping and hoping to have a higher number of people subscribing to trash services to help clean up the city.

“It is a problem, and we’ve noticed that it has been a problem for several years. Unfortunately, it’s one of those that’s not easily taken care of.”

This discussion has been brought up by councils in the past, which led to the resignation of a few former council members.
