5 firefighters injured heading to Hayden Pass Fire

Five firefighters are recovering from minor injuries after getting into an accident on the way to the Hayden Pass Fire in Fremont County Thursday.

Colorado State Patrol said two wildfire trucks were involved in the crash on I-25 near Fort Collins around 2:50 p.m.

The two trucks were heading to the Hayden Pass Fire in Fremont County from the Cold Springs Fire in Boulder County.

The five firefighters suffered minor injuries. They were taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies, State Patrol said.
