Sanders endorses Clinton

Bernie Sanders endorsed his former rival, Hillary Clinton for president Tuesday.

“Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president and I’m proud to stand with her today,” Sanders said.

“Addressing hundreds of supporters in New Hampshire, Sanders said he and his supporters must focus on the future.

“That future will be shaped more by what happens on November 8 in voting booths across our nation, than any other event in the world,” Sanders said.

Clinton praised Sanders tireless fight for causes that engaged millions of voters.

“Thank you for your lifetime of fighting injustice,” Clinton said. “I am proud to be fighting along side you.”

Longtime Clinton supporter Brooke squires now puts both signs together on her front porch.

“Oh I’m so excited,” Squires said. “This is the day the Democratic Party united. The Republicans don’t know if they should put their shoes on or go get a drink of water, the republicans. but we know we are united behind Hillary Clinton.”

Sanders national delegate Mike Maday of Colorado Springs is ready to support Clinton over Donald Trump.

“Fact is Democrats agree on almost all the issues so it’s just a matter of getting our act together and beat Trump in the fall.”

In a tweet, Trump called Sanders a “sell out” for endorsing Clinton.
