Make your voice heard at upcoming Black Hills Energy town hall meeting

A state representative is stepping up to voice her opposition to Black Hills Energy’s higher electric rates.

Representative Daneya Esgar will hold a town hall meeting on July 19 to prepare the community’s testimony for a Colorado Public Utilities Commission hearing happening in August.

The hearing will be about Black Hills’ request for a $9 million increase in annual revenue from Pueblo customers to cover the cost of a turbine.

Town hall meeting on July 19 will be at 5 p.m. at the El Pueblo History Museum.
