TriView Metropolitain District: “We found the leak”

Nearly 24 hours after residents in Monument unexpectedly had their water shut off, or woke up to low water pressure, TriView Metropolitan District says that they have found the water leak. The utilities company claims on their website that they are working to fix it and have shut off valves to stop the water from leaking.

The problem is suspected of leaking more than 50 million gallons of water. The spill triggered water restrictions for hundreds of people living in Monument. They were told that if they watered their lawns or used outdoor water, they would face big fines.

TriView says it could take a couple of days to fix the leak, but they hope to be off their emergency supply soon.
