Fort Carson to hold change of command ceremony

Fort Carson will hold a change of command ceremony Wednesday.

The garrison commander and command sergeant major are transferring control.

Col. Joel D. Hamilton will transfer command of the U.S. Army Garrison-Fort Carson
to Col. Ronald P. Fitch. Col. Fitch was working as a special forces commander and started his military career as an engineer officer.

Command Sgt. Maj. Clinton J. Reiss will also relinquish responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. David Burton. Sgt. Maj. Burton previously held leadership positions with the military police.

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Founders’ Field.
