Lake Pueblo draws large crowd
The Fourth of July holiday weekend is drawing some of the summer’s largest crowds to Lake Pueblo.
With the large crowds there are lines at the park’s entrances.
The park’s manager says all of the the campgrounds are full and there are 4.000-5,000 people camping at the park this weekend.
On top of that, 10,000 people are expected to visit the park through the day.
The high water levels at the park are contributing to the congestion as well.
“The side effects of the high water is the fact that there is less shoreline for people to be on. So that’s why it always feels a little bit tighter these last few years because the water’s been so high we have everyone just kind of condensed in a little tighter this time,” said Monique Mullis, the park manager.
Park staff are asking you to be patient and allow time for lines if you plan on going to the park.
