Pothole off S. Academy causes traffic troubles
Drivers on the south side of the Springs were dealing with a tire eating monster on Saturday.
A pothole located in the eastbound lanes of South Academy, just in front of Pikes Peak Community College, was causing major traffic trouble.
It wasn’t much to look at from the side, but it was the perfect length and depth to deal out serious damage. KRDO spoke to one woman whose alloy rim was destroyed by the road hazard.
Police arrived some time that afternoon and began filling up the hole with a pair of shovels.
A permanent fix is expected soon.
