Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office creates the “Poop Fairy”

A new campaign for public parks is highlighting a mythical creature, the poop fairy.

The ads are designed to get people to clean up after their pets in public parks.

In a video made by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy says, “Help keep our parks and trails poop free, after all there’s no such thing as the poop fair.”

Those with the office want to remind people that a pet’s waste should not be left on trails, parks and open spaces.
