I-25 reopens at Larkspur after serious rollover

Colorado State Patrol says a rollover crash shut down southbound lanes of I-25 at Larkspur (milemarker 172) for about an hour early Tuesday morning.

All lanes of the highway are reopened as of 2:45 a.m.

The crash had major impacts on traffic. Several KRDO Newschannel 13 viewers called saying they were heading south after the Rockies. Troopers were diverting southbound traffic to Spruce Mountain Road that runs through Palmer Lake and Monument.

Initial reports suggested that at least one person was trapped in the car when the crash happened. Several ambulances and emergency vehicles were on scene. Colorado State Patrol says they’re still waiting to confirm specific details of the crash.
