Severe thunderstorm watch issued for eastern Colorado counties

Parts of Southern Colorado are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m.

The watch includes the counties of Baca, Bent, Kiowa and Prowers.

Severe thunderstorm watches and tornado watches extend northward into Northeastern Colorado.

A thunderstorm is considered severe when it produces wind gusts of 58 mph and/or hail 1-inch in diameter.
