Power outage and I-25 crash connected in Pueblo

The northbound lanes of I-25 in Pueblo are closed due to a crash.

According to Pueblo police, the driver of a semi-truck fell asleep at the wheel and hit a power pole near the Indiana exit. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, but his father who was asleep in the back is currently in critical condition.

Little fuel has spilled. Traffic is being diverted at Pueblo Boulevard.

The crash likely caused a power outage to thousands of residents in Southwest Pueblo.

The road will be closed for several hours. KRDO Newschannel 13 is working to gather more information.
