CSPD educate park goers on car theft

don’t become a victim to car theft… that was the message the colorado springs police department sent to hikers at red rock cyon open space today. the citizens advisory committee handed out pamphlets and talked with hikers about the importance of preventing vehicle break- ins. they say car break-ins happen across the country near trailheads, parks and parking lots. but preventative measures, like locking your doors and keeping your valuables out of plain sight can help you not become a victim… especially during this time of year. 56 i think one of the reasons why it seems like we have more car break ins in these types of areas is because we have more people out and about, so many people are enjoying the parks on a beautiful day like today and their cars are out here and the thieves look for those cars that are in the parks 112 the committee will travel throughout colorado springs this summer in an effort to
